Qadaroth

Qadaroth is a realm of fire and sand, a blasted continent lying in the far south of the world. Tilted perpetually towards the sun, it is a land of vast deserts, shattered badlands, arid plains and fragile oases. Its few settlements cling precariously to life while terrible beasts roam the wastelands. Ancient ruins lie scattered across Qadaroth - once-gaudy palaces, crumbling tombs and eerie ziggurats - legacy of sorcerer-kings, grand viziers and brutal dictators whose kingdoms are now no more than dust. And across those same wastelands, tribes of nomads wander from oasis to oasis, bringing trade, lore, and precious resources to those too fearful to brave the wilderness.

Do not believe that Qadaroth is a bleak and empty land, however. Its beauty will take your breath away as surely as its cruel sun will strip you of your water. It has a savage grandeur that one cannot find elsewhere on Caerus, and its vast landscapes awake a yearning in travelers that grips the heart and does not let go. Even though its sandstorms will bleach your bones bare, the dust parch your tongue, and the furnace-winds scour your lungs, you will heed Qadaroth's call. It calls to you to flee the city, to take up weapons of stone and ivory, to follow the siren-song of the desert winds, and learn the truth of what lies waiting out there, beneath the desert sands.
