A bit of research shows that it is not uncommon to disallow names based on religions/products/trademarks/well known people. That's the issue which we are talking about, not that there are problems with this group in particular. So in the places I've looked "Church of Satan" would not be allowed, nor would "Church of Christ" for obviously pertaining to religions (Or anti-religions, whatever). This general rule would also apply if there were an association with a name like "The Gagas" due to it referencing a famous person, or "General Mill's Band of Happy Hunters" for referencing a company.

Secondly, don't misconstrue this as yourself being against satanists. I don't care what you believe so long as you have a good ethical code. Also, why name your religion after Stan if you think religion is not the best of ideas? Also, please elaborate on diabolical. I sincerely hope you're talking about roleplaying here...

As Akatsuki said we are discussing some things behind the scenes. Not about this group in particular, but about using real life names, whether it be a product, organization, public official, etc. Basically copyrighted stuff. Someone else using the name could cause trouble, and if the group itself used it, that goes into advertising territory.

i am an IRL member of the church of satan but i could also change the name a bit so it would not have to conclude with that church itself
