But keep it balanced. That's my point.
Don't give them free stuff or make things easier in the real game. No make it even a bit harder, because they lost valuable time in which they could have played and achieved something.
If they want to understand and learn, before actually playing, ok. Give them a toturial up to some point.
But also keep mysteries. I loved that in MO no one actually knew how to craft a sword (or whatever) in the beginning and people had to find out. Stuff like that.
Don't go and say, here this is how you play the game. No mysteries, nothing to discover (besides some dungeons etc..). Make event he gameplay mechanics a bit of an achievement if one truly understood them. Make it a hard game, not something like WOW which even a 12 year old is able to play without problems...
I want a challenge xD

But it mustn't be too dificult at the beginning. Don't want to see 95% of people ragequitting the game while playing it the first time because they don't know how to do anything.
Iīm sorry, English isnīt my first language, Iīll try as best as I can and if you canīt stand it, donīt read it.
Thanks

Well the tutorial should at least explain how the controls work... I suffered a hundred noobs in MO who didn`t get when to right click and when to left click in inventory. Or sometimes you use "R" appliances or you have to target them and use a hotkey to work them. Not explaining basic stuff like that is just idiotic and for some people gamebreaking. I really don`t see how not telling the player how to interact with the world is "mysterious" in any way - it`s annoying.

Ok, here is the deal. Do that in the Beta. That way the real hardcore players get what they want (fun discovering stuff and feeling proud of actually achieving something) and the Devs can focus on more important things (like the actual game).
And before release the player gets a guide (in quite a fair detail) for all those noobs out there. Problem solved. So no one would have to suffer an unfair disadvantage if they want to learn it the hard way, because after the beta it will be fully wiped anyway.
Acceptable?

Sounds good
In beta we gonna have so much fun, and after that I`ll be glad not having to explain how to sell stuff to a vendor...

tutorials should be in from the beginning. and they should be optional from the begginng and able to be activated at any time. I hate doing tutorials, but I hate being utterly confused even. If I can't figure out how to do something Id rather do the tutorial than quit, but if theres no tutorial I'll just give up.

Since there is a while to think about it before the game actually begins, you could always have a tutorial area in the starting area where you design your character and what not, that is not actually linked to the real game world. Anyone that wanders into the starting area could be seen by others in the starting area but labelled as Player 1, Player 11, ect, so you could do dumb things and not give away who you were. You don't die in there, though you could try out combat and it would show damage and a flashing warning to the would be dead char that if they were in game right now, they'd be dead. This way you could spend a few hours in there and get use to the commands. You can only be in the starting area if you have not linked yourself into the game.
And you could also have available tutorials avail anytime that describes the various commands.
