Forum Upgrade Complete - New Feature: Forum Gold!

Hi guys,

I have just completed the upgrade to the latest version of vBulletin, and as part of the upgrade I have made a couple of fixes (you can now actually see the "add reputation" button etc), and have added the first part of a new feature: Forum Gold!


Forum Gold

Forum gold is a new feature, which will tie into some cool stuff we have planned for the future to keep you guys entertained during your wait for the release of Embers of Caerus. Forum gold is earned at a rate of 1g per week you have been registered on the forum. In addition to this, those on supporter plans will get additional gold per month depending which plan they are subscribed to! (see the Supporter Plan page for details, gold has been rewarded retroactively to all current and past supporters)

If you really like the way someone is contributing to the forum, dont just give them reputation, why not give them a bit of gold?! To do so, click their name in a post and select "give gold" to give them some money! (at some point I will tie this directly into the reputation system)

So, if you are lurking, get signed up! Start earning some gold, and get involved with the community!


Disclaimer: Forum gold holds no monetary value, and will not be transferrable into in-game currency on release. Forum gold is purely for fun within the forum and its community.

A quick note, if you aren't seeing the gold star under posts to give reputation, you will need to do a hard refresh (Shift-F5), or clear your cache to see it.

I was looking at the supporter plan and isnt the Gold / Month wrong?

I need to figure out why the give gold isn't working, and have fixed the supporter plan amounts (put it in the table backwards... ooops!).
