I chose gatherer since it's usually the way I play to discover a game, to get a feeling of the world... Later on I'll probably turn into a crafter and/or a diplomat if I join a (desperate) guild or association that would need me as such.

Where's the option for Profiteer?
My role will be a Lawful Privateer, keeping order on the High Seas, and accosting the ships and Goods of those who do not pledge their allegiance to Senoka.
I'll also be a skilled Assassin when not at sea, working for, or leading, a global Shadow Government, shaping the form of Caerus' future.Ever heard of a Legal Pirate? Join the Senokan Privateers for booty and plunder and national defense.

You two are coming up with bizzare conclusions based on poll with barley 100 votes, which is only a fraction of current followers. Most people don't even bother posting here because they either know their path if game delivers, or will follow the path set by their already established guilds.

I guess I agree, that this poll is not representative to what the actual situation/proportion will be among various player roles when Eoc gets released. Nevertheless, if treated without any real relevance to final game, the poll can give us a glimpse of what roles current active community would take IF all professions in game would be equally rewarding.

Yes, but at this stage in development there's an abundance of magi and a lack of crafters. If later on in development new data emerges in the form of a new poll then i would change my evaluation to fit the new data, but based on current data my evaluation stands correct.

There is abundance of speculation either way. Currently with no real info, idiots will speculate left and right. At this point you have 100 guys which you expect to represent over thousand people.
